FAQs

Find out all you need to know about what a digital legacy is and how AssetPass can help you secure yours.

A digital legacy is made up of all of your digital content or assets that you have accumulated across your electronic devices and online accounts during your lifetime. It is up to each of us to select the items that are the most valuable, both emotionally and financially, to be able to pass our digital legacy forward.

A digital asset can be a photo, video 24 word seed phrase, PDF, QR Code, Passkeys, e-Will / LPA, crypto wallet etc etc, which are on your mobile device – but also your login details and passwords to your various online accounts from bank, trading or crypto accounts to social media accounts, such as Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

Your digital inheritance is essentially those digital assets that you choose to pass forward.

A trustee is the person you select that you trust to ensure your digital contents and legacy get released to your recipient at the right time. All they will need to do is press the release button on the app when the time comes.

A recipient is the person you have chosen to receive your digital legacy in the future. They will receive an email notifying them that your albums will be available to them within the app.

AssetPass was built with the purpose of securing your digital legacy and uses the latest, military-grade, end-to-end encrypted security to ensure total privacy and peace of mind.

The only people who can see your items are you, when you create your album, and your recipient, once they receive it. Nobody else, including AssetPass , ever has access.

AssetPass can never view your content as this is already encrypted on your mobile device before being shared in the cloud.

Your digital legacy contents in your albums get forwarded when your trustee presses the release button. If this takes place in error, you will be notified of this and you can stop or reject this action at any time. When the time is right, and there is no rejection for 30 days, your recipient then receives your digital assets.
